This week we are going to set up and start experimenting with Bandlab.

This is an introductory assignment to get yourself signed up and ready to use Bandlab in the future for other projects.

 

Getting Signed Up

First click here to go to the Bandlab website.

You'll need to create a profile with your Email Address and a unique password (that only you know)

Your teacher has a unique code they can give you to have you join the Bandlab classroom.

Note: if you Google search Bandlab, make sure you use Bandlab for Education. You will not be able to access your classes from the main page.

Your Assignment

After you have created your profile and joined the class, you will find the Assignment "Testing 1 2 3" in which you must submit 45 seconds of music.

It will look like this:

Click Start Assignment to get a blank recording space.

Make sure you click:Teacher's Assignment Button.png

To make sure you can have a complete test recording, make sure you only use the loops. You will see this page. Click Browse Loops (circled in red here):

Now carefully choose and arrange your loops until you have 45 seconds of music to submit for the assignment.

When you are finished with your composition -or just have to leave it for late- you have two buttons available:

Save - lets you preserve your work for later. You can come back and continue editing until you are ready.

Submit - sends the file to your teacher for grading. You will not be able to edit it after you click this button.

Choose accordingly.
