Finished game - READ ME FIRST
Checklist - before you turn in your game:
- Did you finish your credits? (game code made by you, art, music, sound effects)
- Does your intro screen include the title of your game and instructions for the player?
- Does your game include at least 2 levels? Are there collisions?
- Does your game have background music and sound effects?
- Can the player tell when they have won and lost?
- Did you do other interesting things with your game? For example: health, points, level selector, easter egg? This would be a good thing to do if you're "done".
Here's an example I made with a lot of help and advice from my 1st grade daughter - it would probably get about a B+: http://www.stencyl.com/game/play/38324 Links to an external site.
To make it better, I would add an enemy dog, 9 lives for the cat, and some kind of powerup - maybe catnip? Also more levels. And I would fix the fact that the cat gets stuck to the ceiling.
You will submit 2 things:
- your stencyl code (.stencyl)
- your playable game (.swf)
You can find instructions in the assignments (Stencyl code and Playable swf). Make sure you submit both assignments today! Next class we will play each others' games :)
