9/10 - Code.org Day 4: U1L4 (flippy doo, binary practice WS)

If you missed class: 

Watch the Lesson 4 video to see what we did in class.

Also do this worksheet using this Flippy do manipulative (here are the Flippy do instructions).

And finally, add the following to your notebook in the Unit 1 - Digital Information section: 

Complete the U1L4 exit tickets

You can do this at home if you run out of time during class. It should take no longer than 10 minutes.

1. 1. In AP CS Principles on code.org, find the Unit 1 Lesson 4 drop down. Open it if it's closed.
   2. Click the first Check for Understanding button.
   3. Answer the question and click Submit.
   4. Repeat for the next 2 questions.

Games

Here are a couple binary games you can use to practice converting binary (base 2) to decimal (base 10) and decimal to binary.

• • Binary Bonanza (choose the correct bits to make a certain number)
  • Binary Number Game (convert numbers both ways to keep the stack from reaching the top)
