Why Music? Why not just say something or write something?

Music conveys feelings and levels of expression that include nuance - small clues and tone combinations that let us more fully understand the purpose or message of music.

This lesson is about Meeting the Moment. Times in history that mean something and needed music to either bring us together, heal us, or encourage us to grow. These songs provide unique perspectives on the world as it was and how the musicians thought to negotiate the problems of their day.
