Please note the following:

Most instructors will require students to create documents (for example, a composition paper) in a word processing program such as Microsoft Word. Once you have finished creating your assignment document, you should save the document on your computer. If you are logged to your virtual machine computer, please note that documents must be saved to the computer's U Drive. On home computers students can save documents to the My Documents folder on the computer. Once the file has been saved on your computer, you can upload and submit the document to an assignment page in Canvas. For more information about saving documents, please view the Tips on Saving Assignment Documents page.

Some assignments may require you to submit your assignment to TurnItIn. See Using TurnItIn for more details.

Please note the assignment submission process will be different for students when using the Canvas mobile app. Please review the tutorials below for steps on how to submit assignments in the Canvas mobile app.
