User Account Profile Update

 The profile option will allow you to display larger profile picture and add a brief biography and links to your portfolium account.  After December 16, 2019 you can access by following these steps. (1) Click Account in the global menu. (2) Select Profile in the menu. (3) The Settings link will remain the same.

The profile page will display. (1) Click Edit Profile to edit web services, biography, and links. Please note that you cannot edit the name fields. Any name changes must go through admissions before they can be updated in Canvas.  (2) The profile picture can be updated directly from the profile page but can also be done from the settings page. (3) The web services must be setup from the settings page.  See the Customizing your Canvas Account page for details on setting up for personal preferences in your Canvas account. 

After the January 18, 2020 update Links to an external site. all users can associate desired pronouns next to their name in Canvas. Please note the following: 

• The pronoun feature is a Canvas only feature. This will NOT make any changes in your  Laker Hub account. 
• If you wish to make a name change, login to the Laker Hub. Under Campus links select student chosen name request link. Fill out the form to make your request. Once this request is processed, your name will change in all Lake Land services including Canvas. 
• Once the desired pronouns are added to your profile, they will display next to your name in the following locations in Canvas.
  • Comment fields
  • Discussions
  • Inbox
  • People Page/Groups
  • User Navigation menu
  • User Settings/Profile page
• New user pronouns are currently not supported with integrated tools such as New Quizzes and Analytics
