Details on the New Gradebook

In the new gradebook the Treat Ungraded as 0 option is not available. Treat Ungraded as 0 option will be addressed in future release.

In the new gradebook the assignment details (course average) is no longer in the gradebook column menu but can be found in the in the new analytics tool. This will replace the assignment details in the current gradebook. Please note the new analytics tool will replace the current analytics tool. See Analytics 2 for more details.

Below are the current improvements available in the new gradebook. 

• New menus for more settings and sorting options. 
• Control over color feedback with a built in color key.
• More filtering options.
• Improved keyboard accessibility on grade entry.
• Drag and drop total columns.
• Crosshairs and highlighting for orientation.
• Late and missing flags with automatic deduction policies.
• Gradebook total column grade override
• Grade posting policies (replaces Mute Assignment)

Phase 1 Partially Completed

Most of Phase 1 has been developed and is currently in production. Below are the features that are still coming soon. 

• Improved commenting - Note: There is improved message to options in the new analytics tool as well. 
• (Done) Instructor defines if grades post automatically or manually. This replaces the mute assignment option. 

Phase 2 In Progress

Below are the features they are currently working on.

• Improved Grading Scheme selection on assignments
• More viewing options, replacing “Treat Ungraded as Zero”
• (Done) Resizing of the total column in the gradebook
• (Done) Total grade adjustment
• “Message Student Who” for gradebook totals. 
• Turn off automatic calculation and manually enter totals
• Add more notes columns in the gradebook and export all note columns.
• Add a couple points for all students on an assignment in bulk.
• Option to hide points and/or percentages from students.
• Grading Schemes export as they’re shown in gradebook.
• Updated search allows searching for students & assignments.
