Assignment Workflow Changes (Coming Soon)

Below are the improvements that will be available in the new rich content editor.

• Canvas Release: Student Assignment Enhancements Links to an external site.
• Assignment Workflow Improvements Links to an external site. - video of InstructureCon2019 session about the upcoming changes. 
• Student Workflow - Focused on keeping everything on one page (no separate page for submission details), less clicks to submit, access to previous submissions, and better DocViewer Feedback visibility.
• Instructor Workflow
  Focused on simplifying the user interface, restricting attempts, defining when lti tools (like dropbox, google & office) can be used for submission, requiring more than one submission type (url AND file upload OR Text Entry), submitting on behalf of the student, adding extensions to individual students, and improving RCE sidebar interactions.

The rich content editor update is occurring in conjunction with this update. After these items are released to production, instructors can enable the new assignment workflows and new rich content editor in a course from courses settings page from the feature option tab.
