Using the Multi Tool Module Builder
What is the Module Builder?
The Module Builder is part of the Multi Tool of Design Tools and allows you to quickly create the module structure of your course. You can create new content shells from the module builder screen. The new content can be based on the templates you created from the template screen. Please note the Multi Tool must be enabled in your course menu. See the following guides for more details.
Using the Module Builder
Step 1: Create a Module Pattern
Use the module builder to create a module pattern and create content based on the templates you created. Click the Multi-Tool in the course menu. Select Module Builder. Review the numbered items below.
- On the module builder screen select a module prefix.
- Enter the number of modules you wish to create.
- Click Generate Module List.
Step 2: Create Descriptive Module Headings and Add Content
This will create the the list of modules. Review the numbered items below.
- Add a descriptive title for each module.
- Select the type of content you wish to create for each module.
- The content will display in the module list. Give each item a descriptive name and select the desired template to use for new content you are creating.
- When you are done click Add Modules to Course. This will create all the content for you. Don't leave the page until all the content is created. You can also save your progress if you are not ready to create content.
