Student Tutorial Module

Overview

Most instructors will use modules to organize content. In some cases instructors may restrict access to content until students have completed required coursework. Review the tutorial and Canvas Guides below.

Module Tutorial

Below is example of course content in module units that have requirements and prerequisites. Review the numbered items below.

  1. Complete All Items/Complete One Item- Sometimes all requirements must be completed in sequential order.
  2. Module Requirements– Modules that have content items that have requirements will display the requirement under the item title.
  3. Complete One Item- Sometimes module may have a list of content items with requirements but students only have to complete one content item in the module. If instructors do not require all assignments in a module to be completed, assignments not completed by the student will be excused and not be included in the total score.
  4. Module Prerequisites–When the previous module has requirements on content items that a student has not completed, the next module will be locked until the requirements have been completed.
