What to do

Add a title and credits Links to an external site., then render your final movie. Your completed movie should include:

• title scene at the beginning
  • do not include your name with the title
  • rendering advice:
    • if it's an animated sequence, save the frames to a separate folder
    • if it's a still shot, you can just save a single render (F12, then F3 -- name it title)
• the movie
  • at least 720 frames of animation
  • frames rendered at 100% size
  • good lighting
  • camera work that the eye can follow easily, doesn't move too fast, and highlights important action (zoom in, follow character, etc)
• credits at the end - refer to this example Links to an external site.
  • include your name (at least your first name, your last name is optional -- the movies will be posted on my YouTube channel)
  • rendering advice:

    • if it's a still shot, you can just save a single render (F12, then F3 -- name it credits)
  • to make your life a little easier, you can copy and paste the text below into Blender - just add your sound credits between the 2 sections

To make the final draft of your movie, first render your frames at 100% size (animation, title, and credits in separate folders if they are all animated), then add each set of frames to your compositing file (delete the old frame/image strip), and finally render the video as an MP4 file. For information about how to do all this, find the Rendering for animation section on the website Links to an external site..

What to submit

Turn in a rendered MP4 of your final movie. The name of the file you submit must be the name of your movie.
