Your assignment
For this assignment, you will create characters for a short film in Blender. What characters will you need? Who/what will they interact with? Is there a hero? Villian? Monster? Alien? Pet? Wild animal?
Make any movable parts separate objects (arms, legs, head, eyes, mouth, tail, wings, antennae...), then parent them* for flexible movement. This video talks about ways to design your character as well as how to parent the parts together.
*select the children first, then the parent; CONTROL P to set the parent object
What to submit
I will check the parenting of your characters in class.
Submit one good rendered PNG image of your posed characters. The characters should clearly be the main focus of this shot (don't turn in the same image for the setting and the characters!).
You may need to adjust your lighting, world, and camera, and will need to save the rendered image -- if you forgot how, go to the Blender website and look for the green Rendering Images box.
